The most popular one is social media surveillance. This one is a favorite in our technological age, as it is convenient and can be done from just about anywhere. By using fake accounts or the profiles of mutual friends, they can monitor your online activity without revealing their true identity. The new narcissists in your life will insist on being friends in order to connect to your social media platforms to observe your posts, comments, and more directly.
Narcissists are very pushy with relationships. They tend to want to get close really quickly. I have done an article on this, which highlights why a narcissist would want to be your friend and how they would go about it. And this adds another layer to it because the narcissist could have already been spying on you through social media, or they can now use social media to monitor you directly. When a narcissist has a new target, they don’t mind putting in the time to observe your every move.

Number 2: Digital Monitoring.
The second way is digital monitoring. We are talking about phone and computer tracking devices, where they can install spyware on your devices, which would allow them to monitor your messages, calls, emails, and even your location. They can use GPS trackers that can go on just about any of your belongings to keep tabs on your whereabouts.
Narcissists can be very possessive of those they are in a relationship with, and their insecurities can drive them to do things like this. Some would even go as far as having cameras in the home to monitor your movements within the home.
